1) SCHEDULE A TOUR
Parents are encouraged to take a tour of our school prior to turning in an application for the preschool program. We want to ensure parents understand the Montessori philosophy, our readiness expectations of the student, and the commitment and support we expect from our families. This is also an opportunity for prospective families to ask any questions they may have about our program.
2) SUBMIT AN APPLICATION
Please submit an application along with the Application Fee. Preschool Applications can be downloaded HERE. A non-refundable/non-transferable application fee is due upon receiving all preschool Academy Applications, and a non-refundable/non-transferable tuition deposit fee is due upon receiving a signed contract. A one time non-refundable/non-transferable family enrollment fee is paid by each family enrolled in Sterling Montessori Academy. A signed application must be on file for each child.
3) EMAIL NOTIFICATION / MEET & GREET
Once we have received your completed application and application fee, you will receive an email within a few weeks to let you know your child’s status. Once your child’s application and fee are submitted and received, a “Meet & Greet” Session will be scheduled. The session will take approximately 30 minutes to complete. Meet & Greet sessions are typically scheduled Monday through Friday from 3:45-4:15 pm. Please remember to indicate your scheduling preference on the application.
4) WAITING POOL
Once you complete a Meet & Greet session, your child’s application will go into a waiting pool.
Applicants are then placed in a waiting pool, not a waiting list. If and when we have a seat to offer your child, we will select a student from the waiting pool based on the following criteria: sibling preference, family previously enrolled at Sterling, previous Montessori experience (we require additional information as to where Montessori experience was acquired), date of application, and needs of the classroom(s).
5) OFFER OF ENROLLMENT
Once an offer of enrollment is extended, families will have 5 business days to accept it. Enrollment appointments, which includes contract signing and submission of the applicable deposits and fees, must be scheduled and completed within 2 weeks after accepting our offer of enrollment.
Admission is offered on a rolling basis. Students are considered and accepted when spaces become available throughout the current academic year.
