Sterling Montessori Academy and Charter School’s lottery took place on Saturday, March 4th at 9:00 A.M.

We received a total of 1,298 applications.

We accepted 65 students in the Kindergarten grade including staff, sibling and LHU Board students. Staff, sibling and LHU Board students were selected in order of preference during the public lottery drawing. These 65 students will have been informed of their acceptance as of Monday, March 6, 2016 and will have 7 business days to accept or decline our offer of enrollment.

Due to the large number of applicants, we limited the number of students we posted based on previous years historical data that shows how many seats we tend to offer in each grade and this comprises our waiting list. During the lottery process, we posted names for each grade and gave them a number based on the order in which they were selected. We posted the following applicants for their respective grades as follows:

Kindergarten – 553 (Offered 65 seats on 3/4/2017)
Grade 1 – 190 (Waitlisted 190)
Grade 2 – 131(Waitlisted 131)
Grade 3 – 112 (Waitlisted 112)
Grade 4 – 87 (Waitlisted 87)
Grade 5 – 70 (Waitlisted 70)
Grade 6 – 113 (Waitlisted 113)
Grade 7 – 28 (Waitlisted 28)
Grade 8 – 14 (Waitlisted 14)

If your student’s name is not listed on the wait list, admission is denied at this time since we have filled our acceptance and/or wait list slots available at this time.

We will offer enrollment for any open seats as they become available until the 20th day of school during the 2017-2018 academic year.

We are not currently accepting additional applications for Kindergarten thru 8th grade.

*After July 31, parents or court appointed legal guardians of prospective students will have 3 business days to reply to an offer. Two weeks prior to school starting, the Director of Admissions will post a notice on the School’s website encouraging families whose students are on the Waiting List to contact the school for any needed information should they receive a Late Notice Offer. (Note: A week prior to, or on or after the first day of school shall be considered a Late Notice Offer).

Beginning one week prior to the first day of school and through the 20th student day, parents or court appointed legal guardians will have 24 hours to accept or decline Sterling’s offer of enrollment.
