YEARBOOK COVER ART CONTEST

This year's Yearbook Cover Art contest was a great success! We received 40 submissions - the most we've ever received! We are so grateful to have so many wonderfully talented artists in our community! As we were sifting through these covers, we were reminded of this Maria Montessori quote: “We shall walk together on this path of life, for all things are part of the universe and are connected with each other to form one whole unity.”

We really felt like every piece of art belonged on the cover to illustrate how we are truly in this together - more so than at any other time before. In true 2020 remote learning fashion, we designed zoom screens on the front and back covers with each art piece in its own rectangle. We hope you enjoy this cover as much as we enjoyed creating it.

Samantha Chase - Administrative Executive Assistant

Samantha Chase is Sterling's Executive Assistant. She began her career as an elementary school teacher in St.Petersburg, FL where she taught for eight years before having her first child. Growing tired of Florida's perpetual summers and looking for a change in location after her second child was born, Samantha's family took a chance and moved to North Carolina. They have never looked back!

Samantha has been with Sterling for three years and does a little bit of everything at the school, mostly working behind the scenes, although you may spot her out at carpool in the mornings. Samantha has two children at Sterling, a 9 year old girl and 6 year old boy.
